Glasgow City Badminton club is a development squad open to players only via trial if they comply with the selection criteria.
There are 3 nights for different abilities –
Wednesday beginner squad progressing to a Thursday and then a Tuesday once the coaches feel a player is ready to move up.
The head coach is Lena Robertson and she has a team of coaches who cover the 3 nights all held at the School of Sport –

If anyone thinks they fit the selection criteria they should contact the secretary –
Roselind Hall 07730609459 or hallrjm@hotmail.co.uk she will arrange with the coaches for a trial period when there is space in the relevant squad, alternatively if there are no spaces the player will be placed on the waiting list and contacted when a space is available.
The squad is managed by the parents and we need involvement from all the parents to keep the squad going forward .

There is a waiting list :
Player will be invited by Gabriella for a 4 week trial when there are spaces available .At the end of the 4 weeks the player will be offered a place in the appropriate squad—Wednesday beginner squad , Thursday performance squad and Tuesday advanced squad these squads are not age determined but ability( although tendency is Wednesday players are the younger ones).

Tuesday squad
Moving up is determined by the coach in charge and places available it will
initially be 4 week trail during which players may attend their own night as well as the Tuesday night if invited to do so. At the end of the 4 weeks they will either move up or stay depending on how the player and coach feel about performance during trial.
These squads all take place at Glasgow School of sport 5-7pm.
